You can truly relax in this private security estate amongst spectacular surroundings, in our three double suites with en-suite bathrooms and French doors leading to private patios or garden. Kidger Lodge is built in an historic H-shape, particular to the Cape Winelands, with very spacious, double volume, open-plan lounge and dining room. It wouldn’t be complete without a wine cellar, and ours is stocked with excellent local wines like the Cabernet Franc growing in front of us and the renowned coffee/chocolate tones of
Diemersfontein Pinotage.

We also have gardens and water features with awesome elevated views across mountains and vineyards and a cool swimming pool perfect for hot, sunny days. The estate has several lakes, good bird watching, wine tastings, plus wine walks. For the really active there are mountain bike trials, horse riding, world-renowned golf courses, mountain passes to hike or strolls through historical winelands towns & villages full of traditional
Cape architecture.

Following the success and popularity of Kidger House in Newlands, Cape Town (www.kidgerhouse.co.za), KIDGER LODGE in the Cape Winelands of Wellington is now open to guests.

The beautiful mountain and valley scenery around Kidger Lodge changes dramatically with the seasons. This is because our guest house is right in the middle of Diemersfontein Wine Estate. The vineyards surrounding us change from neatly pruned in winter, to ripe with fruit come summer and ready for picking in February.
